Completion:         Cost:

2001                        $6,000,000

Summary:

The two phases of this project are a complete renovation and modernization of the historic Auditorium Building. Under Phase 1, the interior of the auditorium was renovated and updated. Phase II involved renovation of the two floors under the auditorium into a new home for the Division of Research and Graduate Studies, and the addition of a new entrance and lobby for the third floor Auditorium. This addition reuses the foundations of a previous addition, deemed unsuitable for renovation. The addition responds to a major pedestrian connector between the historical Front Campus and the current campus core by serving as the visual and functional terminus of the new Esplanade.
