Irie Kynyk Goss Architects provided Architectural services for the planning, design, and construction of a new 59,000 square foot Elementary school in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood.
The curving rooflines are visible from the highway and nearby main roads, and are clad in green standing seam like many of the historic buildings in the neighborhood. The building steps up in scale from the low wings of the neighborhood side to the large gymnasium adjacent to the freeway valley.
The interior features a brightly colored 2-story atrium with an original Hector Vega mural. The plan is designed to be versy easy to navigate, and each section of the scholl is signified by a unique color scheme. The instructional areas are acoustically isolated, and ample daylight is provided throughout.
