Irie Kynyk Goss Architects served as Associate Architect to Design Architect SmithGroup for this project. Work at the Ground Floor consolidates the existing book storage into compact mobile shelving, freeing space for new Rare Book display and storage, catalogue, and microfilm areas. First floor work includes restoration of wood paneling and existing shelving, creation of a new entry vestibule and service desks, and reconfiguration of the ceilings and lighting. Office and Conference areas on the second floor are completely  renovated, as are the third floor IT, classroom and study areas. Stacks on the third floor are reconfigured to optimize space use and allow for installation of a new, sopshisticated computer center. Throughout the building circulation and restrooms are reconfigured and upgraded, and a new system of screens and canopies opens up the circulation core to enhance wayfinding.
