Irie Kynyk Goss Architects served as Design Architects on the conversion of a 1930's dormitory into a state of the art educational technology hub. The redesigned and updated hall serves the University's needs for teaching, research, and corporate training, and facilitates academic interaction and distance learning with regional and international campus sites. The challenging design solution fit several space types, with all of their corrollary technologies into a building with restrictive structural layouts and low ceilings. The historic character and presence of the building on the Front Campus also had to be maintained.
